Friedberg

  • The “old-Bavarian ducal town on the balk of the river Lech (founded in the year 1264 by duke Louis II, 29,000 inhabitants approx.) and situated on the Romantic Road shows the visitor its medieval side. The historic-romantic town-center, embedded into a charming small-town silhouette may invite you for a walk through the town. Large fronts of row houses open the view of monuments with dallying gables, jutties, and little towers. In the west, the almost totally conserved former town fortification with round towers and brick walls rises proudly. One part of the ancient wooden parapet shows there a particularly picturesque view. Hospitality, cultural activities, and sports events, amidst of a idyllic hilly landscape make your sojourning there extraordinary varied.
